Class Description ($60 per person)
Cookie decorating classes will be hosted at my home in Essex CT (address will be emailed to you once registered). Class size will limited to 10-11 people to ensure an intimate and hands-on experience. You will learn basic techniques to decorate 6 cookies. You’ll master the surprisingly simple techniques for transforming royal icing and sugar cookies into edible art. I will walk you through the steps for creating the perfect royal icing while mastering the proper consistencies of the icing that is needed to create professional-style designs. You’ll laugh and learn alongside others as you practice piping skills and create beautifully decorated cookies. Join me to discover your inner cookie artist and amaze family and friends with your stunning creations.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Classes are typically 3 hours in length and limited to 11 students
Classes are geared for beginners and intermediate level decorators.
You will learn the techniques of flooding, piping, wet-on-wet, and more.
All necessary tools and materials will be provided including a box to take home your creations in. Cookies and royal icing will be prepared for you. (This is not a baking class)
Refreshments and snacks will be provided
While there is no set age requirement, classes are geared to adults and older students. If under the age of 12 please consult with me prior to signing up to discuss whether or not the class will be appropriate. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel up to 5 days prior to the class for a full refund. After 5 days your seat is non-refundable unless it can be filled (many times I have a wait list). If filled, you will be refunded the full amount. I have the right to cancel a class due to inclement weather, sickness or low attendance (less than 6 students). In this case you will receive a full refund.
